How to play "Universe" on piano, originally by Kendra Dantes
Here are all the notes, chords, lyrics, lead sheets, play-alongs, chord charts and MIDI files you could want to play this awesome song just like Kendra...
This song is an original written for piano, the lyrics came to me after watching a band perform on America’s Got Talent recently. From there, I added what I hope is an emotional melody, for anyone going through a loss of a loved one. I lost someone special to me last year and I almost lost someone else close to me even more recently. It is one of the hardest things to go through and I find music can help the grief and start a little healing. Music is my therapy.

Lyrics for this original song:
VERSE 1:
They say life is no more than a blink of an eye
That there is nothing stranger than time
An hour can take days, while years take minutes
And I wish I had more life with you in it
CHORUS:
I don’t want to have to let you go
So hold onto me on this endless road
‘Cause I don’t want to have to fill your shoes
And I don’t ever want to have to lose you
To the universe, somewhere in the universe
VERSE 2:
They say life’s a bullet that’s been shot
And they say that gunpowder is all that you’ve got
So I hold onto the dust until it disappears
‘Cause I don’t like the cold of these unfamiliar tears
BRIDGE:
Can you hear my cry?
I will never understand why
But you will fill in the light of the stars
And I’ll keep you in my heart as you are
