Touch The Sky – Original song by Kendra Dantes | Studio Version

How to play "Touch The Sky" on piano, originally by Kendra Dantes

Here are all the notes, chords, lyrics, lead sheets, play-alongs, chord charts and MIDI files you could want to play this awesome song just like Kendra...

This song is an original that was a lot of fun to write because I began experimenting with upbeat rythyms. After I wrote it, I could hear in my head most of what I wanted for the instrumentation. Most of my songs I just play piano and sing, but I wanted harmonies, drums, bass guitar, piano, etc. for this ong. I had a blast singing this with my friend Isabella and my piano teacher Jamin.

Lyrics for this original song:

VERSE 1:
Drams are figments of the mind
Pretend fantasies fading with time
We get used to this routine, it’s just reality
Forgetting what our heart’s desire means

CHORUS:
We can touch the sky
I’ll do anything to fly
I would touch the clouds made of mist
Beyond any doubt, I can do this
Touch the sky
Touch the sky

VERSE 2:
No more than broken pieces crumbling
No more than crushed drams surfacing
We are just butterflies flying against the wind
In the hopes that in this game we’ll win

BRIDGE:
So you tell me it’s what we do
That one day we’ll reach the stars too
Fire in my veins, the belief of anything
A dream is what we make too
