Inspiration for this song came from a poem called “Sand Castles” written by Chad Josephy Thieman & Tina Bryant from their poetry book called “Sea of Serenity”. Originally I wrote this song on piano, but later felt it needed the feel of the ukulele so I switched it. I think different instruments give songs different texture and feeling. The uke just seemed to suit this song better.
