Free music tools / Teachers
Music tools for teachers, students, and homeschool families.
Give an assignment that students can try immediately. These browser tools are free to use, with no student signup or payment details required.
Four assignments you can use today
- Metronome: set a comfortable pulse, clap quarter notes, then clap two evenly spaced notes per beat.
- Ear training: choose two interval types, answer five questions, then find both intervals on a keyboard.
- Scales: practice one hand through one octave and identify the thumb crossing.
- Chords: find C, A minor, F, and G. Hold each chord for four beats and listen to the changes.

What to know before assigning
Interactive exercises need JavaScript and a browser that can play audio. A tap or click starts the sound. Progress is stored in the browser where the student practices; it is not a teacher dashboard or a cloud gradebook. For younger learners, choose a focused task and explore the controls together.
